[Português acima] This work followed my usual process of creating abstracts by listening to the unconscious mind. At one point, I saw a funny smile from a person with glasses that reminded me of the Brazilian designer and cartoonist Daniel Azulay, who was a reference in my childhood and died in the same day of COVID-19. At the same time, this person wept through a poorly drawn and dead-end path, amid empty places, places of confinement, restrictions on freedom and the threat that hangs everywhere.
I thought about what that smile wanted to say to me and it reminded me of the importance of maintaining joy and serenity in the face of everything and looking for the light within us, without depending on the circumstances to find peace and happiness.
