Esta obra é uma releitura da obra “La Nativitá”, de Piero della Francesca, com foco no retrato da Virgem Maria e no seu olhar terno para o Menino Jesus. Recriei parte dos elementos da imagem rural original de forma que pudesse representar, também, uma cena num ambiente fechado e que ganhasse, para mim, um significado adicional: o da mãe que agradece e ora por seus filhos.
Emoldurado em preto.
This work is a reinterpretation of the work “La Nativitá”, by Piero della Francesca, focusing on the portrait of the Virgin Mary and her tender look at the Child Jesus. I recreated part of the elements of the original rural image so that it could also represent a scene in a closed environment and that gained, for me, an additional meaning: that of the mother who thanks and prays for her children.
