[English below] "Navegar é preciso, viver não é preciso..."

[Português acima] "Navigating is necessary, living is not necessary ..." (Fernando Pessoa, Portuguese poet, after General Pompey)

My tribute to the fearless explorers who sailed in search of new paths, new lands, new sources of wealth. It was inspired by Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso's color palette. Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso was one of the most important representatives of Portuguese Modern Painting and I painted his portrait for the Lisbon exhibition of the 2019 Arts Circuit of Atelier MVinhas.
