[English below] Um dos atributos da Arte é o de ser atemporal. Ainda que uma obra tenha sido criada para representar uma situação específica, ela tem a capacidade de ganhar diferentes significados para o interlocutor ao longo do tempo, em função de sua história ou de seu momento de vida.

Nós, como artistas, somos espectadores da nossa própria arte. Muitas vezes me deparo com uma obra que criei com uma certa mensagem e, diante das circunstâncias, passo a enxergá-la sob outra perspectiva ou ela passa a despertar em mim sentimentos diferentes.

Ao criar a obra "Tecnologia e Conexão", refleti sobre como a tecnologia é capaz de nos conectar uns aos outros mas, ao mesmo tempo, de nos isolar daqueles que estão mais próximos ou até de nós mesmos, numa fuga do diálogo interior, do enfrentamento das nossas próprias sombras. Questionei até que ponto, ou em que medida, isto valeria a pena.

Hoje, quatro anos depois, olhei para a mesma obra e, além do significado inicial, que continua válido, ela despertou em mim um sentimento de gratidão. Tendo trabalhado por mais de duas décadas na área de Tecnologia da Informação e sido uma grande defensora do trabalho remoto, da Gestão do Conhecimento e das Comunidades de Prática, vejo que tudo o que ajudei a plantar dentro do meu escopo de atuação - tendo sido, muitas vezes, considerada uma lunática - está, mais do que nunca, mostrando o seu valor. A tecnologia está possibilitando abrandar a solidão do isolamento social, permitindo que nos conectemos àqueles que amamos, com quem temos afinidade ou com quem precisamos trocar experiências ou fazer negócios.

Como artista, tenho, ainda, a satisfação de ver como a Arte está ajudando a trazer alegria, reflexões e a ocupar o tempo das pessoas de forma produtiva e positiva, ajudando a melhorar a vibração do planeta neste momento de crise.

Olhando para a minha trajetória, fico grata ao ver que contribuí, e continuo contribuindo, com o modelo de sociedade que está sendo criado a partir de agora. Espero que minhas obras continuem a despertar novos pensamentos e sentimentos ao longo do tempo e que eu continue, onde quer que esteja, encorajando as pessoas a mudar.

 

[Português acima] One of the attributes of Art is to be timeless. Even though a work has been created to represent a specific situation, it has the capacity to gain different meanings for the interlocutor over time, depending on its history or its moment of life.

We, as artists, are spectators of our own art. Many times I come across a work that I created with a certain message and, under the circumstances, I start to see it from another perspective or it starts to awaken different feelings in me.

When creating the work "Technology and Connection", I reflected on how technology is able to connect us to each other but, at the same time, to isolate us from those who are closest or even to ourselves, in an escape from inner dialogue, from facing our own shadows. I asked how much, or to what extent, this would be worth.

Today, four years later, I looked at the same work and, in addition to the initial meaning, which remains valid, it aroused a feeling of gratitude in me. Having worked for more than two decades in the area of ​​Information Technology and being a great advocate of remote work, Knowledge Management and Communities of Practice, I see that everything I helped to plant within my scope of activity - having been, often considered a lunatic - is, more than ever, showing its value. Technology is making it possible to ease the loneliness of social isolation, allowing us to connect with those we love, with whom we have an affinity or with whom we need to exchange experiences or do business.

As an artist, I am also pleased to see how Art is helping to bring joy, reflection and to occupy people's time in a productive and positive way, helping to improve the vibration of the planet in this moment of crisis.

Looking at my trajectory, I am grateful to see that I have contributed, and continue to contribute, with the model of society that is being created from now on. I hope that my works will continue to awaken new thoughts and feelings over time and that I will continue, wherever I am, encouraging people to change.
